Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Executive Vice-President Industrial Division position. The Executive Vice President of Norco’s Industrial Division is the operations officer responsible for the revenue growth, planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the day-to-day and long-term activities of the industrial division. Problem solving includes comprehensive divisional strategy development and organizational opportunity identification. Impact includes potential for substantial financial, legal, competitive, and regulatory implications. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct the business of the Industrial Division of Norco in direct alignment with the Strategic Vision of Norco as established by the CEO
  • Strategize, organize, and direct the business of the Industrial Division to achieve the goals and directives of executive leadership
  • Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments
  • Oversee all aspects of sales and marketing related to products and services offered by the Industrial Division
  • Continual improvement of the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the Industrial Division
  • Maintain current knowledge of rules and regulations applicable to the industry. Educate employees and enforce the policies, laws, codes and regulations impacting the business
  • Recruit, elevate and cultivate employee talent
  • Provide excellent communication and education within the Industrial Division, to facilitate engagement, trust, buy in, alignment, productivity, quality, and job satisfaction within our employee owners
  • Work with executive leadership to establish annual sales and CapEx budgetary goals
  • Evaluate and manage Industrial Division product lines to assure alignment with the goals and directives of executive leadership
  • Manage product vendor relationships and contracts to assure favorable terms, excellent value, best in class price and reliable supply chain
  • Maintain constant alignment with Norco’s purchasing team in order to achieve ample inventory levels necessary to meet the needs of our customers
  • Prepare and report on division performance to executive leadership and/or the board of directors as requested
  • Conduct Division wage reviews
  • Conduct and enforce performance review compliance
  • Follow safe work practices in the performance of all duties and communicate and enforce all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8 years progressive experience in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in leadership roles with considerable knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations and standards for a welding and gas supply distributor
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and work with spreadsheets
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively train others
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage personnel
  • Knowledge of management practices and evaluation techniques
  • Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software
  • applications applicable to the position
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
  • Ability to be self-motivated and directed with little or no supervision
