Business Systems Analyst - ERP

BlueScope is a global leader in steel production generating $12 billion in annual revenue, based in Melbourne Australia.  The NorthStar Mill, located in Delta, Ohio, is a leader in producing recycled steel.


Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst is a member of the enterprise systems group.  Leads system implementation and development efforts driving business improvements.  You’ll work with business leaders in finance, supply chain, order management, billing, and operations in a manufacturing environment.  Systems you’ll be working with include Microsoft Dynamics ERP, IBM Maximo EAM, internally developed systems and those specific to steel production. 


Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Reviewing and documenting business processes. 
  • Scoping requirements to improve those processes.
  • Purchasing or proposing development to meet those solutions. 
  • Ensuring integration with other processes and applications.
  • Testing solutions and ensuring their success. 
  • Documenting their functionality and related processes. 
  • Supporting solutions and addressing any issues.
  • Becoming the subject matter expert for system functionality.  


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, accounting, or relevant business subject such as industrial management.  
  • Two years of relevant business experience. 
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work on site in Delta, Ohio.  


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ten years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of Visio and experience producing data flows and swim lane diagrams. 
  • Accounting and Audit experience. 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Dynamics or SAP. 
  • Understanding of coding or concepts.  


Quantitative Scope:
  • No budget responsibility
  • No direct/indirect reports
