Job Description

The Out Patient Psychiatric Therapist - PC Partial Hospitalization reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The therapist provides outpatient psychiatric treatment services to persons suffering from psychiatric/chemical dependency difficulties and/or their families/significant others.  The therapist must be knowledgeable in areas of assessment, counseling, therapy, relapse prevention, referral and recovery, and will consider the specific needs and behaviors of specific age groups.  The therapist is responsible for establishing a one-to-one relationship with the patient and is considered the patient's advocate.

This position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Must be flexible for business needs to cover for any therapists in the evening on occasion of absence or illness.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or other related discipline with appropriate current licensure in the State of Illinois.  LCSW and/or LCPC required.  Three to five  years experience in treating patients with psychiatric and chemical dependence problems.  Extensive experience with families and/or individuals in psychiatric/chemical dependency setting dealing with crisis or problematic situations.  CPR certification required.

CADC perferred.
