What's the role?
The Content Strategist actively plans for and creates clear, cohesive content experiences that meet Northwestern Mutual's various audiences while delivering business outcomes.
What you'll be doing!
• Delivering clear, consistent, concise user-interface content experiences for customer, field and home office experiences
• Crafting and writing user interface copy for digital products
• Assisting with implementing content strategy methodologies to help plan for the creation, delivery and governance of useful, usable content
• Collaborating with research, UX and visual designers, engineers, product managers, and many others to deliver compelling UX solutions
• Advocating for solutions that balance the needs of customers with business objectives
• Contributing to the development of content processes to support a cohesive UX ecosystem
• Assisting in the creation of information architecture and taxonomies
• Succinctly presenting and rationalizing work to stakeholders. Using data and research to evaluate content's impact
What this role needs!
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in journalism, Communications, English, marketing, PR, digital media or related field
• 1-3 years of previous experience in UX writing and/or content strategy work in a professional setting. Experience working with product, marketing, or tech organizations, agencies, and freelance
• Previous employment working with content in the design space for product development
• Strong writing skills and command of the English language (grammar, spelling and vocabulary)
• Understanding of the fundamentals of UX writing crafting messaging in the digital world
• Ability to adhere to brand voice, tone and style requirements. Familiar or exposed to content strategy methodologies - such as content auditing, defining taxonomies for tagging, governing content, etc.
• Familiar with data-driven approaches that take into consideration-business metrics, site assessment, competitive analysis, and research
• Ability to balance multiple projects; adaptable to constantly evolving priorities. Ability to collaborate, seek clarity and work independently to complete tasks
Compensation Range:
Pay Range - Start:
$66,500.00
Pay Range - End:
$95,000.00
Please note that this is the standard pay structure. Positions in certain locations (such as California) may provide an increase on the standard pay structure based on the location. Please click here for additional information relating to location-based pay structures.
