Senior Accountant

NOW CFO is searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to become a permanent member of our client's team in the Palm Springs area! The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, financial reporting, as well as financial profitability analysis and other special projects as assigned.Responsibilities• Responsible for month-end close, GL account reconciliation and assisting in preparing financial statements• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance• Record journal entries for the general ledger• Ensure compliance with complex accounting regulations and stay up-to-date on changes and developments.• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.• Maintain a strong understanding of the company's financial systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.• Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory role• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
