The Office of Research and Innovation would like to host a summer intern student to work on a research project to study project success in the defense and security sector. The student will be researching and reviewing federal projects in several sectors in the NC region including the small business community, startups (including university-spawned startups), university research, academic centers, innovation incubators, and other defense-security partnerships. This study will seek to identify patterns for project success that yield viable commercial or federal products, business initiatives, or practices and/or policies adopted in the defense and security space. The intent of this project is to identify and establish repeatable project elements and best practices to optimize future success and promote DIB initiatives in the NC region.
