About the role:

Our client serves more than 300,000 businesses in 25 industries in the United States by facilitating industry initiatives, administrating the company System of Standards, providing education and support, and connecting communities through events and online forums.

As a Data Quality Engineer, you will focus on quality engineering to build, execute, and automate test scripts to ensure high quality of every data and analytics solution that is built and delivered by the engineering team.

Some of the main tasks/responsibilities for the role include:

Work in Azure Synapse validating data pipelines, transformations and systems that enable the organization to collect, store, process, and analyze large volumes of data.
You will ensure the accuracy of data delivered in reports and intuitive visualizations that help monitor business performance and identify opportunities for improvement across the organization.
Contribute to the testing of a complete enterprise analytics platform.
From data extraction and curation to data visualizations, you will directly impact our operations and drive change as we extend our data platform using Microsoft Fabric.

Job Skills/Requirements
- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills

- 3+ years of experience in data quality, data testing, or data engineering role
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse and Power BI testing is essential. Proficiency with Synapse SQL for querying and validating data in Azure Synapse, and experience in Power BI report testing, including data accuracy validation, and dashboard functionality checks
- Experience in data quality assurance practices, including data profiling, data validation, and data cleansing
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks and best practices for data governance
- Ability to design and execute test cases for data transformations, and data ingestion workflows
- Experience with data integration and transformation workflows in Synapse Pipelines (integrated with Azure Data Factory)
- Ability to validate data consistency between data sources (e.g., Synapse) and Power BI reports
- Experience with data quality management tools and automating testing processes is a plus
- Familiarity with Power BI data modeling and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for testing and troubleshooting calculations
- Experience with data versioning, data lineage tracking, and audit trails for quality assurance

- Ability to take business requests and break them down into manageable steps to achieve a goal
