About the role
Our client is the world's largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods and provides a safe and reliable platform for consumers to buy and sell their luxury items.
We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer who will support our project focused on Java and Kotlin.
Main Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, performant, and testable code that directly contributes to company-wide initiatives
- Develop Produce high-quality, performant, and testable code
- Contribute to the technical direction of our Android app as a whole
- Develop features to advance fashion and the circular economy/sustainable e-commerce
- Mentor and learn from peers through pull requests and pairing
- Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary, highly performant team to build the feature of the company
- Directly impact our customers, consignments, and earnings
Job Skills/Requirements
- +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
- 3+ years of experience developing high-volume consumer-facing mobile apps
- Good understanding of Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and MVVM architecture
- Passionate about market-leading UX
- Passionate about testing practices and continuous improvement
- Curiosity about retail/e-commerce, the high-end consignment market, and/or how to create a sustainable, circular economy for luxury goods
- Ability to take business requests and break them down into manageable steps to achieve a goal
Nice to Have
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines
- Experience with GraphQL
