QA Engineer

Nursa is a healthcare platform that directly addresses the severe staffing challenges confronting the U.S. healthcare system by connecting qualified registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) seeking flexible work with facilities in need of help. Role overview: 

As a Manual QA Analyst at Nursa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products to our users. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements.

• Design test cases to cover various scenarios, ensuring thorough test coverage.

• Execute manual test cases to identify software defects.

• Verify bug fixes and ensure the resolution of reported issues.

• Document and track defects using Jira.

• Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies and provide input on testing timelines.

• Maintain detailed and organized test documentation.

•  Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features do not negatively impact existing functionality.

• Provide feedback on areas for improvement in software quality.

Qualifications: 

• Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Manual QA Analyst or in a similar role for 3+ years.

  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in creating and executing test cases.

• Nice to have: 

  • ISTQB or other relevant certifications.

  • Experience with automated testing tools (Playwright, Appium, etc.).

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).

  • Previous experience in Health Care Industry.

  • Experience with Jira and Testrail

  • Experience with BrowserStack or similar cloud-based test execution platforms
