Per Diem Anesthesiology Opportunity at Danbury Hospital in Fairfield County, Connecticut (60 miles from NYC)
Danbury Hospital is seeking a per diem Anesthesiologist to join our employed group based in suburban Fairfield and Litchfield Counties in Connecticut, about 60 miles northeast of New York City. Seeking coverage for non-call day shifts. With approximately 40 physicians and 40 CRNAs, our group covers a variety of cases including spine, orthopedics, cardiac, and obstetrics. Our highly experienced team provides 24/7 coverage at Danbury, Norwalk, New Milford and Sharon Hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established program that includes teaching to residents, medical students and CRNA students.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Anesthesia. We offer a highly competitive per diem compensation rate.
Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. New Milford Hospital is an 85-bed community hospital and Sharon Hospital is a 78-bed community hospital. We are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to Westchester as well as New York City culture and access to a wide array of venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreation.
