Senior Automation Developer

NVIDIA’s Silicon Solutions Group is seeking a senior Python developer to lead automation initiatives for datacenter products, delivering innovative solutions that significantly improve operational efficiency. You will apply your expertise to evaluate automation needs, and coordinate with internal engineers and developers to plan and implement scalable designs that optimize workflows, minimize manual processes, and accelerate testing cycles. You will join an automation team dedicated to delivering solutions that support a much larger engineering team responsible for validating the functionality of NVIDIA silicon. For most projects, you will own the entire development lifecycle—from architecture through deployment and maintenance. What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with engineering partners to assess needs, capture requirements, and identify automation opportunities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions tailored to team workflows

• Coordinate projects by managing timelines, setting expectations, and presenting progress with technical and non-technical partners

• Provide detailed documentation, training, and support to drive the successful adoption of our solutions

• Continuously supervise and improve deployed solutions based on feedback and evolving requirements, while upholding software development standard methodologies

What We Need to See:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, with 8–10+ years in software development

• Expert-level Python proficiency, specializing in automation and testing

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences

• Excellent analytical and debug skills; effective both independently and in teams

• Skilled at balancing multiple projects with strategic prioritization

Ways to standout from the crowd:

• Hands-on experience with system architecture and development

• Deep knowledge of datacenter tray, rack, and cluster architectures

• Proven understanding of full stack development principles and practices

• Understanding of AI and large language model (LLM) development

• Experience with AI software development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot)
