Developer Relations Engineer

At Offchain Labs, we are not just building products — we’re leading a movement.

We are committed to creating a decentralized, secure, and transparent future through blockchain technology. Our mission is to push the boundaries of blockchain innovation and foster a creative, collaborative, and inclusive culture where ideas can come to life. We know that the future of blockchain technology is limitless, and the best way to achieve this is by working with the brightest minds.

We’re looking for thinkers and doers who are eager to embrace new challenges and seek solutions that will push existing boundaries. If you believe in the importance of transparency, trust, and the decentralization of control, and if you’re curious, adaptable, and want to disrupt the status quo, then we want to hear from you.

Why Offchain Labs?

Our team is committed to bridging the gap between the current state of blockchain and its potential. Our flagship product, Arbitrum One, is a dominant force in Ethereum scaling and is trusted by enterprises, developers, and users worldwide. But that’s just the beginning. Our passionate team is constantly building on this success, rolling out innovative tools such as Arbitrum AnyTrust, Arbitrum Orbit, Stylus, BoLD, and Arbitrum Nitro. Offchain Labs also contributes to the Ethereum core protocol with the Prysm consensus client.

Following the successful raising of $3.8M in seed funding in January 2019, as well as $20M in Series A and $100M in Series B funding in 2021, we are looking to expand our team. We invite individuals with a strong interest in blockchain and a talent for approaching problems from unique perspectives to join us in shaping the future of this dynamic field.

As part of the Product team at Offchain Labs, you will get to work with leaders in the blockchain space solving novel technical, economic, and social challenges. In this role you’ll work directly with leading application teams to improve their experience using Arbitrum technology and accelerate their growth through direct contribution. You’ll also serve as an advocate and educator generally, interacting with the developer ecosystem online and in-person. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineering team, third-party teams in the Arbitrum ecosystem, and company leaders, including our CTO and Head of Product.

What you'll do:
  • Proactively identify, contribute to, and advocate for strategic partnerships with promising application teams, fostering an ecosystem of the most engaging on-chain experiences
  • Own developer success across leading application teams in the Arbitrum ecosystem, working alongside builders to solve challenges involved in using and integrating with Arbitrum technology, and accelerating their development
  • Work directly with the Product team to relay and incorporate feedback from projects and the developer community into our roadmap, and help shape the go-to-market strategy of new products, especially for the developer audience
  • Work alongside our engineers to improve our tooling, from the Arbitrum SDK to custom tooling aimed at launching new chains, and assist with the creation of tutorials, demos, and other reference materials
  • Be an advocate in the developer ecosystem (spanning web2 and web3), building relationships with developers and related organizations (accelerators, dev shops, hackathon organizers, etc.) to grow awareness of Offchain Labs products among developers
  • Represent Offchain Labs at developer events and assist with live coding sessions, speaking at conferences, virtual meetups, and hackathons, working with our Marketing and Events team to prioritize and attend key events

What you'll need:
  • Passion for and understanding of blockchain technologies
  • Experience leading teams in development and experimentation
  • Excellent verbal communication and written skills
  • Strong collaboration skills with both internal and external teams
  • Competent Computer Science fundamentals or previous development experience
  • Experience writing Rust, Solidity or Golang
  • Experience writing and deploying smart contracts in EVM environments

Perks:
  • Remote-first global workforce + soon to open NY office headquarters
  • Annual company offsite (last year, Bahamas!)
  • Opportunity for subsidized attendance to industry conferences
  • Medical, dental & vision coverage (US + some other countries)
  • 401k retirement plan + company match (US only)
  • Home office set up / ergonomic equipment matching program.
