NV5’s Ventura office provides construction inspection and materials testing services on construction projects. Services entail inspection and testing of construction activities including soils compaction, asphalt paving, concrete, masonry, welding, bolting, fireproofing, and other services. The Office admin with assist in providing adminstrative support for office paperwork and activities and assist in dispatch of field services. The dispatcher will receive daily service requests from project owners and contractors, schedule appropriately qualified staff to fill each request, gather and forward project information to field staff for each field assignment. The daily routine typically involves: a) receiving requests throughout the day, b) finalizing staff assignments in the mid-afternoon, and c) transmitting project information to field staff at the end of the day. The job requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Work will entail close daily communication with NV5’s project managers and constant communication with our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Answer daily service requests, typically via phone, email, and texts, for construction inspection and testing services

Record details of service request. This often requires asking follow-up questions to obtain the detailed information we require to efficiently fulfill each request.

Schedule and dispatch construction inspectors and testing technicians to construction projects, typically within ~60 miles of Ventura, CA.

Record schedule information and dispatch assignments into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) database.

Review daily dispatch schedule with project managers.

Perform other tasks as time allows.

Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position;

Tech-savvy with knowledge Excel and data entry

Fast typing with experience in data entry

Proficient in English (oral and written)

Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

High school diploma
The pay range for this California position is $22.00- $35.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
