SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Office Coordinator is required to provide routine administrative support to the faculty of the General Pediatrics Division. This position also engages in obtaining prior authorizations as well gathering information for Division providers to obtain medication authorizations; all requiring heavy telephone coverage and customer interaction. Furthermore, this position provides secretarial cross coverage support to the General Pediatric sites at FCC, CFCC, Weiler Nursery and LINCS program. Performs confidential administrative duties, utilizing appropriate discretion and independent judgment. Prioritize tasks while maintaining responsibility for timely execution. Shared responsibility for providing administrative/clerical coverage for Division Chief, Division Manager, and Pediatric Medical Directors at division practice sites FCC, CFCC, Weiler Nursery and LINCS program and Adoption Program as needed. Perform diversified and moderately complex secretarial duties. Candidate must have the ability to work independently, be able to multi-task , exhibit strong interpersonal and good judgment skills. The successful candidate will provide coverage during the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.


**This is a temporary full time position.**


EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent completion of business school course.
  • Three years of secretarial experience.
  • Training in PC based automated word processing systems.
  • PC or mainframe-based management programs.
  • Requires knowledge of medical or equally complex terminology.
  • Ability to type 45 WPM
