OFFICE SUPPORT ASSISTANT IV

Work with the Chair, Associate Chair(s), faculty, committees, and staff to maintain the highest standards of academic affairs to promote enrollment growth and student success in a department that supports the university's teaching and research mission. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the Associate Chairs of Undergraduate/Graduate Studies & the Systems Engineering Program Director
  • Respond to prospective student inquiries with department and program information (email & in-person)
  • Welcome visitors, assist with campus student visits, produce information folders and welcome packets
  • Run reports for advisors and assist as needed with scheduling and visits
  • Maintain and update undergraduate and graduate student files/records; process and audit forms as needed
  • Review and process degree plans and assist students with completing and approving graduate forms
  • Prepare reports, review, process, and track department-based student scholarships
  • Provide department accreditation support as needed
  • Process graduate admission and answer admission inquiries
  • Assist with administering the Fort Leonard Wood (FLW) program as needed
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the undergraduate and graduate handbooks
  • Maintain the department website and MinerBytes display
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PeopleSoft, or similar software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact, courtesy, diplomacy, and a cooperative attitude
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task
