Marketing – Marketing /Full-Time /Remote

Olo is a leading SaaS platform accelerating digital transformation in the restaurant industry, by helping customers deliver more personalized and profitable guest experiences. As a result, our digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions enable hospitality at scale, helping brands to do more with less, and making every guest feel like a regular.

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Product Marketing with a track record of driving accelerated growth in a fast growing B2B, SaaS company. You will be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team reporting to the EVP, Marketing, and helping to redefine what Product Marketing means to the organization. In this role you will help position and promote our complex product portfolio, driving topline revenue, market share, adoption, and retention for established and new Olo solutions, products, and services.

The Head of Product Marketing will lead a team of Product Marketing professionals and build connective tissue with cross-functional leaders to translate product and business objectives into compelling go-to-market strategies. You have extensive experience leveraging data insights and research to understand customer and product trends. You will guide a team to develop clear value propositions, positioning, pricing, and messaging that serve as the center of gravity for all release events, demand generation campaigns, as well as stakeholder awareness and training across all internal and external product GTM motions.

You have experience collecting competitive intelligence to articulate product differentiators, and you’re an expert at establishing strategic relationships with key industry analysts to feed and promote Olo’s innovation roadmap. You have a demonstrated ability to operationalize your strategy and mentor your team to achieve success. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are encouraged to take chances in the spirit of growth and learning.

This role also requires a proven ability to execute strategically with a focus on measurable outcomes. Key performance indicators include advancing growth metrics (product line ARR), product activation and adoption (NRR), competitive win rates, and expansion plays. This role requires building strong cross-functional partnerships including Product, Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Sales Engineering, Sales Enablement, and CX to create long-term value for our customers and business.

What You'll Do

  • Innovation Roadmap Inspiration and Information: partner closely with Product and business unit leaders to inspire and inform financial business plans, which guide roadmap decisions and resource allocations. Leverage customer and competitive data and insights to create product development briefs, which clearly articulate customer problems to solve (value propositions), and marketplace whitespace to own (Olo differentiation)
  • Product Development Lifecycle: work closely with Product leadership to define and measure success for product development and product maturity stages (alpha, closed beta, open beta, GA gateways, etc.) including key decision trees for pricing, content, sales enablement, adoption, customer insights, etc.
  • Deep Product Expertise: foster a meaningful relationship with Product teams; maintain a deep understanding of our current product and product plans; lead the creation, design, and enablement of product demos; and ensure that all PMM work is guided with intimate knowledge of our products
  • Buyer and Product Insights, and Competitive Landscape: Gather, analyze, and respond to competitive intelligence, including win/loss analysis, in a timely manner that keeps our customer-facing teams confident and educated on how to articulate how Olo is better and why we’re winning
  • Strategic Narrative, Customer Value Propositions, and Messaging: craft and optimize solution/product-level value propositions, and messaging (including market, company, platform, product, and competitive positioning) for Olo solutions, products, features, and services to include ROI calculators, etc. that clearly articulate the tangible business and brand value of the solution through the eyes of our customers
  • Product Pricing and Packaging: develop, maintain and evolve new pricing/packaging models to sell the full value of their platform and full-stack solution offerings. Test various models directly with customers and prospects in the broad market in collaboration with Sales, and adjust as needed to best align with delivery of value
  • Thought Leadership and Content Strategy: work with our Corporate Communications/Brand Marketing and Content teams to craft a content strategy and build content that addresses every stage of the buyer’s journey, online and offline, from awareness to decision. Collaborate with Performance Marketing to launch demand generation campaigns for prospects and current customers
  • Partner Ecosystem, Integrations and Enablement: work with Strategic Operations and Business Development/Partnerships to determine opportunities and joint GTM plans for strategic technology partners. Ensure our partners and channels are equipped with the materials, training, and support they need in order to succeed in selling Olo
  • Sales & CX Enablement: partner closely with Sales, Sales Engineering, Sales Enablement, and Customer Experience (CX) to equip teams to win more deals with messaging, sales strategies and plays, materials, tools, and market knowledge, with the aim of increasing close rates, competitive win rates, decreasing sales cycle length, increasing ACV
  • Measurement and Reporting: establish success metrics aligned to financial and strategic business goals related to product adoption and success. Generate, analyze, and report on data for key metrics at each stage of the product life cycle, generating action plans for continual performance improvement
  • Leadership and Culture: lead a team of talented Product Marketing professionals, fostering a culture of constant improvement, growth, and opportunity. Drive value for Product Marketing by providing cross-functional leadership with Product and GTM functions

What We'll Expect From You

  • Self-driven, high energy leader with excellent cross functional collaboration skills and the ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, engineering, customer teams, and other departments
  • Passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and well-organized
