Learning and Development Specialist - Fort Worth, TX

We are seeking a Learning and Development Specialist who is an avid learner, a curious thinker, and a creative problem solver.

The L&D Specialist will love inspiring and teaching others and recognize the importance of understanding the underlying reasons behind concepts. This individual will work directly with the VP, Learning & Development to design and develop blended learning experiences and deliver exceptional training to help our team members grow and be successful. The L&D Specialist should have a strong background in multi-family and feel confident in various operational functions.


This role requires that the L&D Specialist reside in Dallas-Fort Worth or be willing to relocate. Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time - both locally and nationally.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify any learning gaps and communicates findings to VP, Learning & Development.
  • Deliver high-quality training via multiple platforms, including in-person and virtual classrooms (occasional travel required).
  • Guide and develop learning strategies to support business objectives; strategies may include implementation of new systems, processes, communication planning and change management.
  • Contribute to the administration and general maintenance of the LMS and develop and/or update existing learning courses according to needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of business systems and platforms to support daily business functions.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise, strategic planning, instructional design, content authoring and facilitation on new and existing business applications.
  • Manage existing tools, resources, and online learning to ensure our learners continually receive the highest impact learning experiences.
  • Communicate to assess, report, and respond to progress and challenges related to our learning strategies.
  • Effectively communicate initiatives to ensure quick adoption and ample support.
  • Recommend and oversee modifications/additions to LMS based on field observation and data.
  • Manage and enhance required learning/training programs.
  • Manage and enhance supplemental learning programs and opportunities.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Proactively identify areas of opportunity and propose possible solutions to drive business forward.
  • Attend team member events and actively participate in local apartment association functions to promote culture.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 3+ years of property management experience preferred or L&D in Human Resources to supplement.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • OneSite/Knock CRM experience is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in public speaking and presenting to large audiences both in-person and virtually.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Effective time management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and genuinely enjoy working with people.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time (locally and nationally).
