About this role

We’re hiring a Director of Organic Growth Strategy to lead and manage our Strategy Team, driving business growth for clients through innovative organic growth strategies. 

You'll coach and guide a team of 4-6 Strategists and Analysts and oversee the entire strategy process, from sales to editorial. Your mission is to ensure client satisfaction and growth by developing comprehensive strategies that exceed expectations and performance goals.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion for establishing strong relationships with clients, strong experience solving technical SEO and holistic search and content challenges, and the skills and drive needed for evolving SEO campaign delivery.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the organic growth strategy expert and trusted advisor in client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, and ongoing delivery discussions

  • Directly manage the professional and personal growth of 4-6 direct reports, holding them accountable for client and performance goals

  • Implement and own the end-to-end strategy process, ensuring seamless collaboration from Sales > Strategy > Editorial

  • Oversee the development of client strategies and growth opportunities, ensuring consistent alignment with clients’ business goals

  • Develop strategies to minimize account churn while maximizing client retention, expansion, and referrals

  • Collaborate with the Director of Editorial to ensure client deliverables meet the highest standards

  • Track and report KPIs such as client retention, account expansion, and team performance

Who you are

  • You have extensive experience (7+ years) in SEO and content strategy, with a solid understanding of growth marketing strategy as a whole (bonus: experience with paid, lifecycle, social, etc.).

  • You have proven leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.

  • Your background is in both agency and in-house environments, with a preference for B2B SaaS experience. 

  • You have a strong passion for SEO, content, and strategy building, paired with a desire to teach and coach a team. You’re on the front lines of industry trends, algorithm updates, and organic growth tactics.

  • You’re analytical. You can analyze a situation and get to the root cause. You’re comfortable with challenges and problem-solving issues ranging from resolving stakeholder management to analyzing massive data sets for actionable insights.

  • You enjoy working with people. You have strong client-facing skills to ensure high retention and satisfaction, including understanding client needs and communicating strategies effectively.

  • You're a strong verbal and written communicator. You’re experienced in presenting to executives (CEOs, CMOs, and VPs) and can dive into the details with marketing professionals and analysts. You can operate at 30,000 feet and 500 feet.

  • You’re adaptable and agile. You realize that things change and often don't work out perfectly, so you do what needs to be done and keep moving forward.

  • You're focused and detail-oriented. P.S. the passcode is "SEO rocks."

  • You're not an asshole. We spend a lot of our days engaging with team members and clients. There's no room for unkindness. You're friendly, eager to jump in and take ownership, and love to work as a team to be successful.
