The Task At Hand:
The Retail Planning Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Retail Finance & Planning and plays a critical role in delivering business analytics and tracking performance against the retail plan. As an integral part of the Sales Team, the Retail Planning Manager provides key input and analytics to support Trade Promotion Management plan development. This role collaborates closely with the Demand Planning team to ensure the most up-to-date data is available for building accurate sales forecasts. The primary goal of this role is to enhance accuracy and accountability in the sales plan through data-driven insights and adherence to timelines. The Retail Planning Manager serves as the go-to expert for all data and planning matters related to the Retail channel, ensuring a strong connection between analytics, forecasting, and execution.
In This Role, You Will:
• Work side by side with the sales team, category, and trade team to develop, adjust, and create a sales plan.
• Provide in-depth analysis and maintain a rolling 3-month sales projection, driving accountability through reporting, insights, and actionable guidance.
• Partner with Demand Planning to develop monthly forecasts, evaluating performance against KPIs and delivering clear, concise insights to improve forecast accuracy.
• Act as a Power User on TPM and TPO systems, with demonstrated ability to identify planning opportunities and provide guidance.
• Leverage retailer reporting and scan sales data to track performance against the plan, offering insights and guiding sales calls based on identified opportunities.
• Design, implement, and manage the ongoing sales planning process, ensuring alignment with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Monthly Sales Calls.
• Analyze sales trends to support daily business management, including comparing sales pacing to forecast and providing Demand Planning with updates on distribution, timelines, and resets.
• Monitor sales pacing weekly, report progress, and adjust sales strategies based on "pace to plan" insights.
• Collaborate with Operations to address product availability concerns, communicate availability updates to Sales Leads, and establish prioritization where needed.
• Track weekly and monthly retail scan reports to identify item-level and retail trends, providing actionable insights.
• Manage and update the Sales Dashboard, ensuring accurate input of pacing, AOP, and rolling forecasts (RF) for the Sales team.
• Deliver monthly sales recaps with SKU-level unit sales forecasts, utilizing historical trends and marketing activity to ensure accuracy.
• Work cross-functionally to support various sales planning responsibilities, including compliance with SOX governance requirements.
• Serve as the sales planning expert, overseeing tools, timelines, templates, and reporting for monthly, AOP, and 3+9, 6+6, and 9+3 calls.
• Support the field team in executing new product launches by providing planning guidance and monitoring performance.
In This Role, You’ll Bring with You:
• 7+ years of professional experience in retail sales, including roles focused on forecasting, sales reporting, building annual sales forecasts, and planning.
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of professional experience, required.
• Knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals and development.
• Strong project management, organizational skills, and superior attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving priorities and business needs.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely; strong presentation skills.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter.
• Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet.
• Desire to contribute to a dynamic, high-growth, purpose-driven work environment.
• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Sales preferred.
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position.

Compensation:
• Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt.
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
