The Task at Hand:
The Trade Planning Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Trade and is responsible for maximizing and optimizing Trade investments with our retail partners. The Trade Planning Manager has a critical role on the Sales Finance team. This role will impact Once Upon a Farm’s continued growth by ensuring effective analysis and optimization of trade spend to drive profitable growth.
In This Role, You Will:
• Own analysis of trade effectiveness across retail channels, identifying opportunities for optimization
• Develop post-promotional review tools to quickly identify the performance from a category, brand, and SKU level, mining for actionable insights to increase the effectiveness of trade
• Deliver regular monthly reporting of Trade KPIs and Trade Calendars
• Lead & schedule formal post-promotional reviews (monthly), measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of executed promotional activities against planned volume and spend
o Discuss results with the sales team, propose changes, and track for implementation
o Utilize scan data to show proof of performance and date confirmation
o Monitor performances, calling out where promotional activity did not run as planned
• Analyze and advise on digital spend & layered promotional trade spend
o Partner with Shopper Marketing to develop and execute cohesive Digital support
• Work side by side with the sales team to execute Trade strategies by providing valuable insights and influential sales materials
• Critically evaluate and monitor Return on Investment (ROI) and profitability of all spending across all sales spending and all line-items of the P&L
• Assist in the development of long-term trade strategies that span across channels and product lines
• Guide the sales team in the use of TPM and TPO systems
o Provide training and guidance as needed and monitor for accuracy
o Drive the forecast spend accuracy with the sales team by evaluating forecast vs actuals post-performance
o Monitor budgets and utilize spending for the most efficient payback
• Represent Sales cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Marketing partners
• Be a thought leader regarding industry trends related to Promotions, Consumer decision-making, and competitive activity
• Jump into other projects requested by the LT, along with the broader Sales Finance team
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of professional experience, required
• 4+ years of professional experience in retail sales & in a role conducting analysis, P&L Management, sales reporting, and planning required
• Deep understanding of CPG-related trade spend management
• Experience with TPM required, TPO preferred
• Experience working cross-functionally between Sales, Shopper Marketing, and Finance
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
• Advanced knowledge of SPINS, IRI, Nielsen, and Customer Loyalty Card data
• Extremely analytical and superior attention to detail
• Self-starter with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities and business needs
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely; strong presentation skills
• Genuine passion for improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet
• Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment
• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Sales preferred
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Compensation:
• Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$120,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks
