Responsibilities
Provide high-quality outpatient palliative care for oncology patients
Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals
Conduct thorough assessments and manage complex symptoms
Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team
Educate patients and families about palliative care options
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
Provider supervision and teaching to Palliative nurse practitioners
Engage in quality improvement initiatives
Education
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Fellowship training in Palliative Care is highly desirable
Board certification in Palliative Care or eligibility
