Job DescriptionThe HR Business Partner (HRBP) Lead oversees all services provided by the business unit and functional HRBPs and ensures they drive talent optimization within the business units and functions. This position coaches HRBP teams in building meaningful and impactful strategic relationships with critical business leaders. The HRBP Lead seeks to build strong advisory relationships with the senior-most business leaders and provides direct strategic counsel and guidance to executive leaders and HRBP teams on ways to aid business leaders in aligning and executing HR strategies aligned with onsemi’ s business strategy.The HRBP Lead will help HRBPs to proactively forecast the needs of the business, from a talent perspective, manage BU talent retention strategies, partner with the COE leads, and be proactive in partnering with leaders to develop succession plans. They bring best practice and external perspectives to strategic and operational business discussions and people management decision-making. The HRBP Lead reports directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO).ResponsibilitiesOverall• Understand the core business processes and drivers of a particular business unit or function and can provide the business leader with talent expertise and optimization based on this in-depth knowledge• Provide guidance and counsel to executive leaders on talent strategies• Coach HRBP teams in developing the strategic relationship between HR and the BU management to define business challenges and translate them into focused HR initiatives• Educate HRBP teams on methods to understand the core business processes and drivers of a particular business unit or function• Confidently manage HRBP teams to drive the overall talent optimization strategy, as it relates to the business units, countries, and/or functions and initiatives• Promote a strategic relationship between HRBPs, HR COEs and business leadership to define and solve business challenges, identify opportunities to deliver value-added HR services and programs, and drive the effort to translate them into focused and relevant HR initiatives• Act as an escalation point for HRBPs• Proactively identify the next generation of leaders and facilitate effective succession planning process / ongoing development conversations• Monitor results of the delivered HR programs, and work with the COEs and HR Services to facilitate changes and improvementsTalent Expertise• Partner with HRBPs to identify and understand evolving talent needs relative to the BU’s objectives at the aggregate BU level• Work with HRBPs and COE leadership to identify talent gaps and align on a market relevant rewards and implement changes necessary• Ensure consistent and comprehensive talent strategies for all business units and functions• Drive effective succession planning process (primarily for most senior leaders in the business) and facilitate ongoing development conversations, partnering with executives to identify and proactively develop the next generation of leaders• Coach HRBP leadership team on best practices to ensure that HR programs and solutions are business-relevant and executed wellBusiness Advocacy• Leverage business-relevant and workforce-level insights and trends to identify opportunity to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and overall employee experience through meaningful talent programs and initiatives• Champion the execution of HR processes, initiatives, and programs that are business-relevant and defined by the COEs (e.g., performance management, annual compensation, training initiatives)• Understand the BU’s operating environment and apply awareness of the BU’s operational goals and objectives when implementing HR programs and addressing escalated HR issues• Work in partnership with HR Services to maintain business-specific policies, ensuring overall compliance• Provide business unit input to the COEs and HR Services to ensure HR programs are feasible for the business unit and can be implementedTrusted Advisory• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with executive leaders and HRBP leadership team and proactively provide advice, guidance, and talent expertise for business decisions• Meet with CHRO to provide insight on BU / Function needs and complexities; leverage performance management insights and analytics• Manage and build a strategic talent pipeline of leaders across the business unit through the lens of recruiting, talent development, performance management, and leadership development strategies• Network and collaborate with HR Business Partners, COEs, and HR Services to agree on a common innovation agenda, agree on the people agenda throughout the organization, leverage experiences / practices across geographies, and evaluate effectiveness of HR solutions• Actively listen and seek to understand various points of view to arrive at best solutionQualificationsQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred• 12+ years of experience in HR• MBA or another advanced degree preferred• People management experience (6+ people)Requirements:• Strong HR expertise and experience overseeing the full HR suite including HR Strategy, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Training and Organizational Development, Compensation and Benefits, and HR Operations.• Excellent financial / business acumen and analytical abilities• Strong analytical abilities to illustrate HR’s impact on the business and enterprise• Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and capable of working in cross-functional teams• Embraces change and views challenges as business opportunities• High degree of integrity, confidence and self-awareness that appreciates, understands and effectively negotiates within and across other cultures• Demonstrate success working in a complex organization across functions, cultures, and levels• Strong planning, organization, delegation, problem solving, and decision-making abilities• Experience with people management and development• Entrepreneurial and transformational mindset - driven to create and innovate• Strong communication skills and executive presence balanced with a high degree of humility• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office software• Stays current on latest developments, trends, and best practices for HR processes, policies, etc.• Able and willing to regularly travel, when necessary• Demonstrated working knowledge of enterprise resource planning software, human capital technology, and related specialty HR systems, frameworks and functionality (Oracle experience a plus)About Usonsemi (Nasdaq: ON) is driving disruptive innovations to help build a better future.
