PLG Operations Manager - job 2 of 2

OpenAI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced PLG Operations Manager to join our Revenue Operations team. This role will be responsible for managing PLG data systems, enabling our GTM team with actionable sales intelligence data, and building automated workflows that drive qualified customers/prospects from self-serve to enterprise offerings. The ideal candidate is scrappy, data driven, has experimented with AI-first GTM workflows, and is eager to quickly turn high impact experiments into robust systems that have massive scale and impact. This candidate should be eager to be both a front line developer/owner of tactical data workflows and a strategic advisor to our RevOps and GTM leadership on PLG strategy.

Most importantly, you should expect to be a core member of the GTM team, helping to bring our technology to a wide range of customers and supporting our self serve and sales led motions.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you'll:

  • Collaborate with business and operations peers/leaders to define Enterprise growth hypotheses, develop AI-infused data workflows, run experiments, iterate rapidly, productionalize successful automations, and evaluate workflow impact (ongoing).

  • Partner with our GTM systems team to evaluate net new best in class PLG tooling as well as implement/support ongoing optimization of existing (+ net new) data workflows/PLG tooling.

  • Define foundational KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of all data workflows and PLG systems and advise on key inputs to the health of our self-serve to Enterprise funnel.

  • Establish reporting cadences with Marketing Operations and other RevOps/Growth peers to optimize self serve to Enterprise conversions, Enterprise expansion, and mitigate Enterprise churn.

  • Work closely with our central data team to ensure all relevant data triggers/metrics have reliable/stable/interpretable data foundations to power GTM data workflows.

  • Measure the effectiveness of various third party enrichment data providers to optimize for coverage and accuracy across our data enrichment stack.

  • Support RevOps and GTM peers with the creation and analysis of third party datasets to drive agility and impact.

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • Experience working on RevOps, RevTech, or Data teams in ops/systems/data roles.

  • Familiarity with GTM specific tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Gong, etc.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives

  • Strong communication skills and executive presence

  • Excellent analytical skills (especially driven in Sheets/Excel context) – basic/intermediate SQL expertise for adhoc insights/investigations is a nice to have, too

  • An understanding of the AI landscape, our applications, and the problems they solve for our customers

  • Familiarity with Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies and domain-specific PLG tools like Pocus, Commonroom, Clay, Apollo, etc.

  • Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard creation (using tools like Tableau, Looker, Mode, etc)

  • Nice to have: experience working with Marketing Operations to drive campaign orchestration
