The GRC team provides security assurances and builds compliance for OpenAI’s technology, people, and products. About the Role
As a Technical Compliance Program Manager, you will lead and enhance our technical compliance initiatives, optimizing and managing them end-to-end. You will be responsible for designing scalable technical processes, establishing automated compliance workflows, and directly managing external audits with a focus on technical requirements and controls. This role requires a highly organized, proactive leader with strong technical insight, capable of managing complex project lifecycles in fast-paced environments.
In this role, you will:
Manage technical audits and compliance programs, driving end-to-end execution and ensuring alignment with industry standards.
Partner closely with engineering, security, and product teams to develop technical compliance solutions that enable efficient, risk-managed product delivery.
Prioritize technical risks, building and automating compliance frameworks to reduce operational friction while enhancing security and compliance.
Leverage technical expertise to automate repetitive compliance tasks, streamlining operations and focusing team efforts on high-impact areas.
Design and implement workflow improvements that promote continuous compliance and enhance responsiveness to regulatory and internal requirements.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
Strong technical program management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
Experience in managing and automating technical workflows related to security and compliance, especially within high-stakes environments.
Deep familiarity with technical compliance standards, privacy regulations, and security frameworks.
Expertise in developing and maintaining technical documentation, audit trails, and compliance reporting.
A technical background with hands-on experience in compliance software, workflow automation, or a related technical field.
