Operations Manager Night Shift

Hours: 2:30 PM - 1 AM Monday - Thursday (overtime as needed)

Primary Responsibilities

The Operations Manager is responsible for directing efforts of Production Supervisors in building strong working relationship with hourly production employees while supporting the Plant Manager in various production related tasks and duties. The role encompasses managing and driving process improvement, safety, quality, and employee development. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and manage teams promoting a positive work environment focused on achieving business goals. Foster an environment of coaching, development and teamwork and ensure expectations and results are communicated effectively.
• Ensure an effective flow of communication to all levels of the organization, to ensure all leaders and personnel know strategic goals, expectations and performance results.
• Understand NVR and the plant's yearly business objectives, initiatives, and productivity, quality and delivery goals and ensure they are met or exceeded.
• Identify and implement projects or processes to achieve these goals. Drive process improvement, throughout the plant, which focuses on results and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Manage key controllable operating expenses and develop cost control plans. Drive innovation and capital improvements through the strategic Manufacturing leadership team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (business or engineering preferred)
• MBA (preferred)
• 5+ years of progressive leadership and management experience (Manufacturing experience preferred)
• Excellent problem-analysis and strategic-thinking abilities
• Experience communicating effectively with all levels of an organization and a strong commitment to Customer Service.
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to drive improvements within the organization and persuade and influence others
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making, adapting and meeting deadlines
• Ability to travel to other NVR plants and locations, as needed
