Position Summary

To perform long range and short range Plant Production Planning and Inventory Management utilizing the forecast in conjunction with Economic Production Quantity and Safety Stock methodologies. Ensure that finished product is available for distribution to customers when they want it. Provide efficient/cost effective schedules. Keep warehouse inventories within acceptable levels. Ensure maintenance of plant equipment can be performed when it is scheduled. Fosters a safe work environment, ensures all quality standards are met, and is responsible for the proper management of day-to-day operational and environmental issues.

  • Utilize the forecast, economic production quantities, safety stock, inventory levels and the maintenance schedule to monitor and plan production
  • Monitor/Prepare a finite production schedule to the sku level of detail by shift, day and week. The schedule should balance processing volumes to packing volumes by product type and should be within the existing capability of the plant
  • Responsible for entry of the weekly finite schedule into SAP the master production plan (MPP) for the week. Daily schedule maintenance must also be performed to ensure accurate information is being provided for all users.
  • Enter planned production for products, vitamins/mineral premix & mixed meal premix daily, weekly, monthly as necessary into CARMA (Campaign and Recipe Management application)
  • Participate in daily production meetings along with production and maintenance personnel to discuss shift and daily compliance to the schedule results and action plans (Goal – 80%).
  • Monitor and track PCR’s for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor/manage Warehouse inventory through St. Louis Stock Level Report and Oklahoma City’s Inventory Projection worksheet.
  • Manage the coordination of all packing supplies, promotional sticker activities, coupons, stack-cards, and promotion notifications. Track & execute promotional activity, promotional drops and bonus bags.
  • Responsible for the pull deployment of centrally manufactured product utilizing the statistical forecast, on-hand inventory balances, economic order quantity based rules and transportation costs and lead times.
  • Manage the EOQ process to ensure timely arrival of new locally produced product and 99.1% fill rate levels.
  • Participate in weekly Maintenance planning meetings to schedule downtime to perform
    necessary plant PM’s, Capital Projects, fogs & heat treats while still maintaining
    customer service levels.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 5 + years of experience in a leadership role within supply chain planning, logistics planning, or capacity planning in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment
