Platinum Group Metal Services (PGMS) is a leading refiner and recycler of precious group metals. The growing demand for low carbon and responsibly sourced products is creating growth opportunities in critical metals recycling and secondary refining, and as the world’s largest precious metals recycler, PGMS is a key player in the circular economy.

Your responsibilities:

MELT:

Cuts up scrap and new metal to fit crucibles and makes ceramic crucibles as required.
Pours molten metal into mold from crucible.
May fuse metals with torch to join or remove defects.
Conditions and polishes rolls in mill using proper abrasives.
Lubricates rolls as required.
May be required to bond by inserting in metal packages and applying heat, rolling, cleaning, etc.
Separates customer scrap and cut to useable dimensions.
Cleans or bleaches through use of chemicals or cleaning compounds.
Performs such operations as setting up punch presses for samples.
Processes and disposes of waste as required.
Maintains records as required and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Employee must be properly trained in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

ROLL:

Cuts up scrap and new metal.

Lubricates rolls as required.
Visually inspects materials while rolling and corrects for straightness, flatness and finish.
May be required to bond by inserting in metal packages and applying heat, rolling, cleaning, etc. Separates customer scrap and cut to usable dimensions.
Cleans through use of cleaning compounds.
Performs such operations as setting up punch presses for samples.
Processes and disposes of waste as required.
Maintains records as required and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Employee must be properly trained in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
