Manager of Risk Management (Analytics)

Oportun is seeking a Senior Manager of Risk Management to oversee credit policy and risk performance for Installment loans. The role involves developing and enhancing credit strategy for Unsecured Personal Loan products and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Skills

6+ years of experience in an Analytic role, preferably in risk management of the financial services industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other analytical discipline
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with integrity and precision
Experience with SQL/Python or SQL/SAS, and other programming languages

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance credit strategy for Unsecured Personal Loan products
Design and implement new tests to optimize loan amount assignment strategy
Monitor credit performance of loan portfolio and adjust risk strategies accordingly
Collaborate with finance, legal & compliance, engineering, and other teams to deliver strategies
