About the Role
We are seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle for custom software development projects. As the first AE at Opreto, you will play a critical role in shaping our sales strategy, processes, and approach. This remote position requires occasional travel to meet potential clients and attend industry trade shows. You will build and manage a sales pipeline, prospect new leads, hold meetings, and close deals, focusing on expanding our presence in the education, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.
Responsibilities and Requirements
- Lead Generation & Sales: Be a hunter! Identify, research, and aggressively pursue potential clients in our target industries (education, healthcare, manufacturing). Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, utilizing hunting and farming strategies.
- Client Engagement: Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to understand client needs and present tailored software solutions.
- Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the entire sales process, from initial contact through contract signing. Collaborate closely with a Sales Engineer, one of Opreto’s founding team members, for technical support during negotiations.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Industry Engagement: Represent Opreto at trade shows and networking events to generate leads and stay updated on market trends.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our Sales Engineer and founding team members to ensure alignment with strategy and client needs.
- Experience: Proven success in full-cycle sales, preferably in selling custom software development services or within our target industries. Strong communication skills are essential.
Remote Work: Comfortable working remotely, self-motivated, and capable of managing your schedule effectively. Willingness to travel is required.

Interview Process
Qualified candidates will be invited to a series of interviews to get to know you better and allow you to learn more about us.
- Initial Screening: A 30-minute call with People Ops to discuss your background and interest in the role.
- Sales Strategy Interview: A 1-hour Google Meet interview with a Co-Founder to evaluate your sales approach, pipeline management skills, and problem-solving abilities in complex sales scenarios.
- Leadership Team Interview: A 1-hour Google Meet interview with key leadership team members to explore your sales strategies, past successes, and potential contributions to Opreto.
- Final Steps: Finalists will provide references and complete a short paid assignment, such as developing a sales strategy for a hypothetical client, to assess strategic thinking and fit with our team.
