The Technical Documentation Officer will be responsible for managing and organizing the document archive for company’s power plants. Also, he/she will ensure that all documents, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, manuals, and other critical documents, are properly stored, categorized, and easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain a comprehensive document archive system for all power plant documentation
- Ensure that all documents are properly labeled, categorized, and stored according to established procedures
- Develop and implement document control processes to track revisions, approvals, and changes to documents
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather and update technical drawings, specifications, and manuals
- Assist in the digitization of physical documents and ensure that electronic files are properly archived and backed up
- Provide support to internal teams and external stakeholders by retrieving and distributing documents as needed
- Conduct regular audits of the document archive to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
- Train staff members on document control procedures and best practices for document management
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to document management and archive organization
- Participate in special projects and initiatives related to improving document management processes within the organization
- A BSc in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
- At least 2 years of experience in working with technical drawings and document management
- AutoCAD knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with power plant operations and terminology
