Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Optimiza is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and management of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and effectiveness of our projects. Your expertise will contribute to data-driven decision-making and enhance the overall quality of our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for various projects in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design data collection methods and tools, ensuring high-quality, relevant, and timely data is gathered.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, providing actionable insights and recommendations based on findings.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing evaluation results, including lessons learned and best practices.
  • Facilitate training and capacity building for staff in monitoring and evaluation processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to incorporate feedback and improve project design based on evaluation outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in monitoring and evaluation to enhance the organization's capabilities.
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in non-profit or development sectors.
  • Proven expertise in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in using monitoring and evaluation software tools and statistical packages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently manage multiple projects.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and development in monitoring and evaluation practices.
