The Accounts Payable-Accounting Assistant is a critical position processing a substantial dollar amount and volume of payments for Otterbein. This position works closely with others in the Accounting department and applies independent judgement to ensure invoices are paid within allocated budget and vendor terms consistent with good Accounting practices. Regularly communicates with vendors and internal customers to set up and pay new vendors, process invoices and research and resolve discrepancies. This position will be responsible for making daily deposits and providing backup for posting for various departments. Is Lead on company credit card administration and cardholder assistance. Assists accountants with general ledger posting and reconciliations. Strict attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required for success.

Qualifications
Education: High school graduate or equivalent; Associates Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Experience: 3 years previous experience in AP processing strongly preferred; experience with Dynamics/Great Plains and BI360 strongly preferred; ability to organize work flows and juggle multiple priorities
