With direct supervision, the Key position's role is to support the front-of-house team members and management team, within a single restaurant, through maintenance of restaurant standards, customer and team member relations, internal communication and strive to achieve overall quality and consistency on a daily basis. This role should be a leader with a "whatever it takes" attitude in helping the restaurant management team, team members and customers.POSITION DETAILSMaintain high employment quality standards consistent with Bloomin' Brands policiesPerforming assigned pre-opening quality checks (kitchen and bar line checks, interior and exterior maintenance)Review staffing and station assignmentsPreparing for and conducting pre-shift meetingEnsuring the restaurant is completely ready for service 15 minutes prior to openingSupporting and coaching the front-of-house staff in customer serviceAbility to balance the needs of the front- and back-of-house team members for smoother operationsPerforming table checks, and handling routine customer problems (re-cooks, comps, etc)Completing server check-outs and tip reportingAccurately collecting, tracking recording and distributing tip outsCompleting all end of shift paperworkPreparing restaurant to be closed at the end of operations and securing the premisesParticipate in special events, marketing, purchasing, training, quality control and financial control activitiesMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCertified in any front-of-house functionsPassing grade in Assessment testingLegal authorization to work in the United StatesPREFERRED REQUIREMENTSPrevious experience in the restaurant industryTraining and proficient in all areas of the front-of-house functions like Hostess, Bus, Server, Bartender, Head Waiter, Trainer and Take-AwayHeld positions of leadership previouslyBloomin' Brands is an equal opportunity employer.
