Responsibilities:

• Learn to operate and control overhead cranes safely and efficiently under the guidance of experienced operators
• Assist in rigging and hoisting operations, ensuring proper load securement and adherence to safety protocols
• Gain knowledge of crane maintenance and inspection procedures, assisting with routine checks and repairs
• Develop an understanding of reading blueprints and interpreting lifting plans
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Participate in training programs and courses to enhance skills and knowledge in crane operations
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in heavy machinery
• Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
• Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
• Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• OHC or metalshop experience is a plus
