About the Role:
The Vice President, Producer - Health / Sales Executive is an individual contributor who is responsible for driving new business and growth for certain market segments. The incumbent is responsible for all phases of the sale process through finalist presentation and signed contract. Key contacts will include prospective clients, channel partners, and internal teams. The position will lead and participate in multi-functional team efforts and must understand and effectively communicate all portions of the business to all internal and external stakeholders. Managing day-to-day interactions and understanding interdependencies is central to success in this position. The role requires a deep knowledge of both the technical and marketing sides of the business.
What you’ll do:
Collaborating with the Senior Vice President of Health to devise and implement strategies for identified market segments.
Contributing to the creation of a unified strategy that merges market segmentation and geographic considerations.
Engaging in market research activities to pinpoint and profile ideal clients.
Crafting and carrying out tailored sales approaches for various target clients, including brokers/consultants, employer groups, multi-employers, health plans, and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).
Establishing and nurturing pivotal relationships with prospective clients and channels.
Furnishing strategic guidance and insights to teams dedicated to client acquisition.
Analyzing opportunities, assessing potential client requirements and compatibility, and evaluating personal achievements relative to set goals.
Conducting presentations to articulate the Value Proposition to potential clients, training sessions, conferences, business and charitable events, public speaking opportunities, and during final pitch meetings.
Leading negotiations, pinpointing and securing new clients, overseeing the discovery and solution formulation phases, and managing Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.
Contributing market insights to aid in the development of new products and services, as well as in refining competitive strategies.
Implementing strategies to contain costs, thereby contributing to the reduction of overall healthcare expenses.
Assisting with the finalization of contract details and facilitating the handover to client services and implementation teams.
Traveling to meet with potential clients in various regions, as necessary, which may comprise up to 50% of the time.
Exemplifying leadership qualities and fostering a culture of loyalty and support among colleagues and associates.
About you:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or relevant field
3-5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business to business sales, including calling on senior executives and a track record of financial success.
comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits for both active employees and retirees, as well as retail pharmacy operations, medical claims processing, and discounted healthcare programs.
Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities are crucial.
Proven track record in the conception and launch of new products, marked by significant achievements that include leading and fostering team collaboration, as well as building and managing relationships.
A background in managed healthcare benefits is greatly valued, with a strong preference for experience in Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) sales.
Essential experience includes healthcare sales, devising account strategies, and leading both meetings and the creation of presentations.
Must be capable of consistently engaging with colleagues in a cooperative and respectful manner.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, fostering cooperation and alignment across teams
Excellent time management skills; Ability to react and respond to the critical demands of the department with competing deadlines
Excellent technical skills must be able to use both PC and Mac operating systems and proficient in google suite products, data analysis and internet technologies
Major pluses:
MBA
Insurance licenses preferred
Have experience in hyper-growth, start-up environment

Compensation and Benefits:
The final compensation package for this role will be determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training.
