Job Summary:

Responsible for the efficient set-up and operation of assigned packaging machine(s), ensuring that product is packed consistent with plant procedures and specifications. Cross training of lines is required and knowledge of up to three (3) machines is desired. Job duties performed must adhere to all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Management System practices as applicable to this position.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Performing job duties within the Company's safety charter and expectations.
• Set up packaging equipment and prepare lines for product run.
• Monitors packaging equipment during line operation for proper operation, fill level, product quality, and weight control.
• Ensures supplies needed to run machines stays stocked throughout the day
• Troubleshoots and resolves minor operational/mechanical problems in a timely manner to ensure the efficiency of product flow.
• Start times will vary between 4:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.
• Production schedule is typically Monday through Thursday up to 12 hours a day. Must be able to work Friday as production demands require.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand 80% of the work day and lift at least 50lbs. occasionally.
• Attention to detail in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Communicate with co-workers and peers to ensure smooth and efficient process run.
• Work a minimum of 10 hours a day and required overtime needed to complete daily production.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus as minor maintenance work may be necessary for the smooth operation of lines.
• Previous employment in a food industry setting is desired but not required.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience.

Pay and Bonus:

Starting Rate: Up to $20.50 per hour.

We are offering a $1000 Hiring Bonus to candidates for all manufacturing hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount of $500 to be paid after 90 days of employment; and final $500 to be paid after 180 days. Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible.

·Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 25 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).
