We are currently seeking candidates for Packaging Operator II. Responsible for safely packaging products into bins, drums, pails and tank truck to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable of all packaging equipment, filtration equipment, pumps operations, chemical transfer and setup. Follow all Environmental and Quality policies and how they relate to the job function. Attending and participating in all safety, environmental, quality and company meetings. A job requirement is you must participate in the department's require online operator training. Partner with maintenance to prepare equipment in a safe and efficient manner. The candidate must be able to trouble shoot equipment issues for maintenance. Knowledge of SAP is a plus

Education

The successful candidate shall have a minimum a High School diploma or equivalent, however, an Associate degree is preferred, with 2 to 4 years related chemical operating experience.

Experience

Two to four years related experience and/or training

Key Job Duties

  • Setting up tanks, filters, and weigh station for packing and operating programmable scales
  • Staging packages to be filled (drums, bins, bulk trailers to a required weights
  • Properly filter and monitor quality of product
  • Purging heels from lines and cleaning
  • Properly capping and sealing packages with the correct labeling
  • Operate computer to print labels
  • Transfer material from package, load and unload packages on bulk and box trailer
  • Load and unload flat-bed truck
  • Operate equipment to move and spot trailers – move finished product to warehouse
  • Repackage/rework red tag material
  • Training in DOT labeling requirements
  • Maintain good housekeeping
  • Forklift certification
