Packer Inspector B - Seasonal

• Performs routing packing tasks in various configurations involved in the manufacturing of plastic products as indicated by Traveler.
• Follows prescribed procedures, performs duties such as routine inspection and insertion of corrugated material as per Traveler.
• Prepares boxes for packing.
• Responsible for housekeeping. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Follows prescribed procedures and JSA’s, performs duties such as requesting, staging and maintaining supply of raw materials such as plastic bottles and pressure sensitive labels, obtains needed packaging supplies, labeling and seals boxes. Grinds scrap bottles.
• Documents raw materials scrap variances in log sheet by workstation for accountability.
• Palletizes boxes weighing up to 35 pounds, checks each box for proper label identification, and neatly stacks each box on the pallet in an orderly manner. Bands/unitizes pallet loads, moves pallets to staging area, operates pallet jack, lift truck and stretch wrap machine.
• Inspect plastic containers for defects before loading them into hoppers.
• Performs tasks associated with Line Clearance; empties bottles from hoppers and prepares bottles and PS labels to return to the warehouse at the end of the production run.
