Packer/Reworker (1st & 2nd Shift)

This position is responsible for inspecting, reworking, and packing bags/trays of product to achieve daily production standards.

1st Shift: Mon - Sat (6am - 4:30pm)

• $15.00/Hr.

2ns Shift: Mon - Sat (4:00pm - close time varies from 12am - 3am)

• $15.40/Hr.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION

• Remove bags or trays of salad from conveyor and place into boxes
• Check for foreign objects, accurate bag codes, and expiration dates
• Separate and hold metal detector rejects
• Rework product as required
• Move from one assigned area to another throughout the day as assigned
• Must be able to meet each area standards such as number of bags/trays packed in a determined time
• Any and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor. This may include stacking boxes of salad on skids, printing and applying labels, forming boxes, and maintaining good housekeepingM-F

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skill And Experience Requirements)

• EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in a food processing facility is desired, but not required. Willing to train. Must have general understanding of plant operations and various departments.
• SKILLS: Must have good communication skills. Must be a self-starter and possess initiative. Must be able to learn new assignments.
• ADDITIONAL: Hands-on ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Required to work independently and with limited supervision. Must be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
