About Unifimoney

Unifimoney provides a digital wealth management and investment platform that enables banks and credit unions to offer comprehensive wealth management solutions through their existing online banking. The platform currently supports robo investing, self-directed trading (stocks, ETFs, Money Market Funds), digital assets and precious metals trading.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Lead Software Development Manager for a contract role based in Austin, Texas (remote is a possibility). The ideal candidate will lead our offshore engineering team while maintaining hands-on coding involvement to ensure product excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of digital wealth management while working with cutting-edge financial technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage offshore development team.
• Participate in platform development (part-time coding).
• Conduct thorough code reviews. 
• Establish and maintain secure coding standards.
• Drive agile development processes.
• Oversee full software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to prioritize roadmap.
• Manage project prioritization and execution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet deliverable timelines.
• Oversee the recruitment and development of engineering talent to grow team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in software development, 2+ as an engineering manager or senior software engineer
• Proven experience managing onshore and remote/offshore teams

Technical Requirements:

• Experience with JavaScript, React, MySQL and AWS
• Solid experience in building full-stack web applications, ideally across SaaS and/or marketplace platforms

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with a B2B early stage company
• Fintech, payments or wealthtech background a plus
• Familiarity with online banking platforms (Jack Henry Banno, Q2, Alkami) or brokerage platforms like Apex Fintech Solutions a plus
