Responsible for the oversight of the following departments: Organizational Learning, Organizational Training, Pipeline and Nurse Resident/New to Specialty. Responsible for the provision of Clinical Education to include the oversight for the development, implementation and evaluation of competency-based education and training programming for clinical staff, Pathmakers, Allied Health Professionals, and clinical students (nursing schools, etc.). This includes, but is not limited to, unit-specific orientation, skills validation; practice changes, new product conversions, preceptorship development, continuing education and patient education across the Palomar Health district. Builds and fosters a high-performing team of clinical/clinical systemseducators along with Pipeline service-line responsibility to promote a culture of quality and safety for our staff,patients, volunteers, and students. Responsible for training and development activities related to assessing, designing, implementing and evaluating system-wide education processes and tools, multi-departmental/multi-facility educational programs, education related projects, student liaison function and partners with information technology to maximize learning. toolsEnsure that all clinical education programs, projects & activities are in alignment with organizational goals,priorities and department productivity. The Senior Manager is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with nursing and other hospital departments to develop, implement and evaluate training programs for the organization as required by regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to CMS, The Joint Commission (TJC), Title 22 and Palomar Health. The Sr. Manager of Clinical Education will assist their team in assessment, planning, development, and implementation of education and training programs for hospital initiatives, as well as to foster initiatives that focus on engaging and growth of potential employee candidates (volunteers, externs, clinical students, etc.). The Sr. Manager is responsible for centralizing and standardizing all clinical education activities the providing effective methods and content to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical education with a global perspective. Establishes and implements strategies and programs to inspire, promote, and advance the professional development of clinical staff. Implements and/or oversees professional development strategies intended to enhance the delivery of clinical nursing care and the professional growth of staff. Operationalizes corporate and regional strategies to promote nursing professional development and collaborates with regional nursing, academic partners, and human resource leaders to develop a program for career enhancement and mobility.
