Your Opportunity

The Mission of the Paralegal - Policy Analyst is to support the Legal team to provide the highest possible service level in the context of prevailing business goals, in the following areas for all departments across EIS: legislative and policy monitoring, review and compilation; legal support; contract processing for Sales and Publisher Relations.


What You’ll Do

  • Monitor existing and proposed legislation impacting EIS and its customers including trends and policies both domestically and internationally.
  • Participate in meetings with external firms regarding current and proposed legislative issues and trends.
  • Interface with internal departments to ensure awareness of and compliance with statutory requirements both domestic and international and seek approvals where necessary for contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with Legal team in Birmingham to implement and streamline procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Document processes for Legal Services and make available across departments as necessary.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and keep SVP/CLO up to date on any issues requiring attention.
  • Maintain and organize legal files and conduct research under guidance of SVP/CLO.


Your Team

About You

  • 5+ years as a paralegal with a policy and/or legislative focus.
  • 2+ years monitoring general legislation and contract clauses, understanding potential impact on business and providing information to legal team.
  • 2+ years monitoring legal and rights-related discussions of emerging industry trends and providing insight that informs business strategy, planning and positioning.


What sets you apart

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with contract tracking systems.
  • Intelligence/Analytical Skills – ability to learn quickly and desire to learn more.
  • Understanding and absorbing new information.

Target Annual Compensation Range: $73,680 - $105,260. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience.
