Lead Digital Designer

parcelLab, the leading Operations Experience Management platform, is growing internationally and fast! We're looking for the best talent from across the world to help us bring people and brands closer together.


We are looking for a "Lead Digital Designer" who will be the driving force of creating the company’s visual tone and language. This role will see you implement creative strategy and execution, aligning with the parcelLab’s global brand and marketing goals. We are looking for someone with 5+ years' experience, a creative flourish, and first-hand experience or the desire to mentor someone in a junior role and take our current rebrand to the next level across digital and video.


The Lead Digital Designer will steer how we will look as we enter the next stage of growth globally (US, EMEA). While B2B experience is not essential, we want someone who is prepared to learn and adapt, helping to elevate all visual content the company produces. Detail-obsession, innovation and out-of-the-box thinking will be foundational parts of your working practice as we scale at pace. We are looking for a proactive ideas person who is confident and well-experienced in design, animation, and project management.


Necessary skills for success:
  • This role is hands-on senior, requires experience across multiple design tools, and the ability to help junior team members upskill. You will lead parcelLab’s design language during an exciting growth stage and will be responsible for shaping our visual competitive edge; the skills necessary include:  
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to create high-quality designs. 
  • Proficiency, or significant experience, creating animations using Adobe After Effects 
  • Video editing skills and an understanding of the most effective styles across differing online platforms (for example: webinars, podcasts and social media)  
  • The ability to quickly translate ideas into sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to share with the wider Growth team and external designers 
  • Experience designing and developing homepages, landing pages, and email concepts – with strong knowledge of Figma or Sketch 
  • Attention to detail displayed in assets prepared for print and digital distribution, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality standards 
  • Management experience of junior staff and/or a minimum of 5+ years working in a fast-paced environment creating assets to brief  
  • Project management across multiple deadlines, working with various departments  
  • Globally-minded with the ability to apply broader design concepts to B2B and work with team members across multiple time zones  
  • Evidence, via portfolio, of keeping up to date with current trends within design to ensure work is relevant and timely 
  • Nice to have: Experience working for an agency, branded content or in-house design services  


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Conceptualization:  
  • This role will see you lead on all visual output, guiding the design team and shaping the foundation of the brand itself. You will be working closely with other departments creating to multiple timelines; this includes:  
  • Working with Marketing and Exec team members to lead on all creative design solutions across the company 
  • Creation and execution of all internal and external content including advertising, social media, webinars, presentations, animations and video 
  • Experience working on shared physical assets such as company merch or booklets 
  • Proactively adapting and advancing the quality of design, creating scalable assets that can be widely shared  
  • Pushing the design envelope with what is possible creatively within the brand brief and B2B space to up hold the brand as industry-leading 

  • Brand Consistency: 
  • This role will see you become the guardian of the brand, making sure that there is consistency, high quality and readability across all outgoing and internal design; this includes;  
  • Prioritizing clear, current and memorable design across all visual communications  
  • Displaying understanding for brand application, creating assets to brief with flair and originality. 
  • Adapting designs to suit different cultural contexts and markets, ensuring they resonate with a global audience. 
  • Refining brand guidelines, as needed, to keep them timely and effective, able to clearly share the ideation process behind changes made  

  • Collaboration, Communication and Project Management: 
  • This role sits within the Growth team, working across multiple departments and closely with Marketing and Product. You will need to display an ability to collaborate; this includes:  
  • Working closely with in-house teams and external vendors to develop cohesive and impactful marketing materials at pace 
  • Introduce systems and or platforms to raise the quality of branded content and design 
  • Supporting the Junior Designer on work briefs, deadlines and opportunities to upskill 
  • Using project management tools to ensure the efficiency of the team’s output and creation transparency over workload  
  • Managing multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs. 
  • Work with Marketing to create project briefs and timelines, creating a clear concept to completion process.  
  • Confidence in presenting design concepts to stakeholders and incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs to a high standard 
  • Working with team members across different time zones and departments effectively  


Work conditions:
  • This role is hybrid with 2-3 days working from our London Moorgate Office
  • This position may require occasional travel to various locations for meetings, photo shoots, or other design-related activities. 
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones to collaborate with global teams may be necessary.
