Our original ventures include an inbox-first travel magazine, a positive news publication, and a collection of media brands that spark wonder and curiosity, all of which are enjoyed by millions of readers every day.ROLE OVERVIEWThe Gallery Manager will support the Pardon Arts team by managing our newly opened Cannery Village Gallery. This role will plan and produce programming and establish standard operating procedures with the goal of driving revenue, community engagement and cultural awareness.The role will also work extensively with our Arts Team and Gallery based in Denver.This is the perfect opportunity for someone with an arts industry background and an entrepreneurial spirit looking to work in a start-up environment.Cannery Village Gallery is a platform for contemporary artists. Founded and curated by Pardon, CVG highlights the work of global emerging artists, hosting pop-up exhibitions and community events in their Newport Beach space.ResponsibilitiesProgramming:Plan and produce programming calendar including exhibitions, openings, artist talks, happy hours, and other events.Sales:Drive all sales flows, managing communications and logistics to meet revenue goals. Negotiate sales terms with artists.Relationships:Establish and maintain relationships with artists, collectors and other visitors. Create and manage a database of active and potential collectors. Build relationships with artists based on trust and clear communications.Public Relations:Support PR efforts, such as the creation and production of press releases, blog posts, and newsletters to increase brand exposure for CVG. Identify strategies to engage with national media outlets, reporters, and social media influencers. Build relationships with media contacts in relevant industries.Content Management:Develop and manage content strategy for both external and internal communications, spanning multiple outlets including newsletters and social media.Partnerships:Research new possibilities for outreach and collaboration with partner organizations.QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills are critical.3-5 years of experience working within the art industry.Experience at a major gallery or institution is preferred.Knowledge and experience with art installation, handling, packing and storage practices.Experience managing a CRM.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Comfortability working in a start-up environment.TIME COMMITMENTFull timeThis role is based in Newport Beach, California.Candidates must be willing to commute to the office 3-5 days per week.Pardon is open to this role being contract-to-hire to start.COMPENSATIONSalary range: $75,000 to $90,000.#J-18808-LjbffrOriginal job Gallery Manager posted on GrabJobs ©.
