The Opportunity:
The Territory Manager will oversee multiple branch locations and will be responsible for ensuring safe operations of all sites, attaining the KPIs for operating efficiency, managing OPEX for the territory and ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities:
Safe and Reliable Operations:
- Is a safety leader within the territory ensuring the highest safety standards are being met for all branches.
- Is an Environmental steward ensuring the mitigation of product into the environment.
- Ensures all employees are following proper safety procedures and ensures training is provided and continually updated should it be required.
- Conducts site inspections and workplace observations regularly to ensure compliance.
- Is up to date on safety and regulatory standards within the territory to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Ensures safe operations in all branch/bulk plant and cardlock locations in the territory.
- Cleanliness of all facilities from the office, to the warehouse and onto the dock is an expectation.
Operating Efficiently
- Maintains all sites (branches/cardlocks) are up to Parkland standards. Responsible for maintenance of sites as required.
Customer Service:
- Responsible for customer profitability within the territory.
- Works with sales team to help win business while continuing to operate efficiently.
- Responsible for the customer relationship and ensuring customers are receiving excellent on time service.
- Owns the NPS scores to ensure the highest customer satisfaction.
- Deals with customer issues and resolves customer complaints when they arise.
Performance Management:
- Promotes Parkland Values and BOLD behaviors within the territory.
- Ensures Operations Supervisors/Managers in the Branches are supported and well trained.
- Helps set/manages KPIs and AIP objectives for all employees in the territory.
- Responsible for setting staffing levels at the branches.
- Provides product knowledge support for the branches as required.
Requirements:
- 5+ years progressive experience with a focus in safety leadership, operations management, business accounting, marketing, and sales
- Industry knowledge relating to fuel handling desired.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to handle conflict and de-escalate issues quickly and effectively
- Understanding of transportation and regulatory compliance
- Must have a valid drivers license and an abstract in good standing
- Ability to travel to meet business demands
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven leadership ability while maintaining a pleasant and friendly manner is necessary
