The Disability Services Program (DSP) is dedicated to giving students with disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in the University’s programs, courses and activities. The DSP provides accommodations at no cost to any student who has a documented disability.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor students taking tests in the Testing Center and individual testing rooms to ensure a secure testing environment.
  • Assist in the distribution and collection of all test materials as directed by the Academic Testing Coordinator.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot testing situations with professionalism and a calm demeanor.
  • Maintain a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create a quiet environment and ensure student testing needs are met.
  • Perform general office tasks such as record keeping and securing exam materials while maintaining student confidentiality.
  • Greet students and manage admissions to and from Testing Center.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma.
  • Please note that University of Denver students must be enrolled in a graduate or law school program and not taking undergraduate courses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience using Accommodate database software.
  • Work experience in Higher Education.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Experience working with individuals from neurodiverse backgrounds.

Work Schedule

The Testing Center is open Monday – Friday from 8 am – 8 pm. Variable days and hours are assigned with the possibility of Saturday and Sunday hours during the University Final Examination periods. A typical weekly schedule will consist of working Monday – Friday from 2 pm – 7 pm. An important role of this job is to be available during University Final Examination periods.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $17.29 - $18.25.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
