Job Description: As a Partner Territory Account Manager (PTAM) within Veritas's North American Channel Region, you will play a vital role in developing and increasing business within an assigned territory of regional and national partners. Your primary responsibility will be to enable Veritas partners while driving business growth. As a PTAM, you will be aligned with Veritas field sales districts and work closely with the extended district sales team, the channel team, and the partners responsible for driving business in the districts.
Responsibilities:
Drive business results in the district: You will be responsible for exceeding indirect bookings targets in your assigned district. This involves weekly forecasting, identifying deals, conducting reviews, and developing close plans in collaboration with partners and field sales. You will also verify and follow up on partner opportunity registrations. Drive strategic channel engagement in the district: Your role will include identifying and aligning the right partners to the appropriate customer opportunities within the district. You will coordinate and align partner activity with the managed partner team, inside sales, and field sales. Additionally, you will participate in partner quarterly business reviews, resolve conflicts, and engage partners through events and activities. Drive field engagement with partners: You will raise awareness of the channel strategy, partner program, and partner value among the field sales team. This will involve coordinating and aligning partner activities with the field district plan. You will actively participate in field forecast reviews, team meetings, and quarterly business reviews. Pipeline Development: You will proactively focus on building incremental pipeline with the field through partners. This includes collaborating with inside sales, the managed partner team, and channel/field marketing to identify key sales plays, run enablement and pipeline events, and strategically invest partner development funds to drive pipeline growth in the district.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree required; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • At least 8 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Experience working in a 1- or 2-tier channel environment.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to deliver effective presentations to both internal and external audiences.
  • Highly presentable, articulate, and mature in outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and establish relationships at all levels, including senior levels with customers.
  • Skilled negotiator with a customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated and effective time manager, requiring minimal direct management.
  • Tenacious and persistent.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for business purposes.
