About this job:

PartnerRe’s APAC Life & Health Business Development team has a vacancy for a Business & Marketing Manager to contribute to the sustainable growth of PartnerRe’s business in APAC

This is an exciting opportunity for a person who has been working in marketing and communications in the (re)insurance industry and is looking to take the next step in developing their career in this industry.

This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, Life & Health, Asia Pacific, who is responsible for Business Development and Marketing & Communications for the region.  Working closely with the cross-functional Life & Health team in the region and globally, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of the marketing, branding and communication strategy to support our business growth in the region and brand recognition and differentiation amongst our peers.  You will also be responsible for supporting on business and client related tasks. 

About the role:

  • Marketing, Branding and Communications
    • Responsible for managing PartnerRe’s APAC Life & Health marketing, branding and communications activities to grow our brand footprint and recognition in the region in line with the market business strategies and budgets.  Marketing, branding and communications activities includes industry and PartnerRe-branded events, conferences, sponsorships, client activities, presentation and content production, review and publication, marketing collateral production, media releases, and internal and external communications
    • Management includes project management of marketing branding and communications activities, planning and leading the execution of related logistics, coordination and collaboration with APAC cross-functional team and local and global stakeholders, prompt and effective internal and external stakeholder management and communications
    • Proactively leading strategic and tactical initiatives to strengthen our differentiation in the region and each of the markets, in particular to improve our NMG global and local branding and expertise scores amongst other client and industry benchmarks and feedback
    • Staying abreast of market and global trends in marketing, branding and communication activities and trends, sharing this with the PartnerRe APAC L&H team and feeding them into marketing, branding and communications strategies and activities
    • Central contact point for and engaging effectively with global central marketing team, external vendors and suppliers and production houses, always acting with PartnerRe APAC Life & Health’s best interests at the forefront

 

  • Business
    • Support the Business Development team with research and reporting on market, client and competitor developments
    • Support the Business Development team’s operations and administration needs including pipeline and dashboard management, managing client queries and feedback, treaty administration and docusign, quote documentation filing and storage, and BD training and onboarding materials  
    • Responsible for coordination and quality control of Business Development inputs into monthly and quarterly sales, financial and other management reporting
    • Produce tools, analytics and reports on business development activity, results, insights and improvement areas and based on client partner and management needs
    • Develop, implement and maintain sales pipeline and management reports and tools to support the team’s needs to manage new and in force business
    • General support of Business Development team and client activities as well as ad hoc tasks

 

  • Governance and compliance
    • Conduct role & responsibilities in line with PartnerRe’s internal governance and guidelines

Qualifications

About you:

  • You are a service-oriented self-starter who is keen to learn and understand our clients’ business and their needs.

    You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as being autonomous. Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to offer in-depth support in your areas of specialisation and responsibility.

    Moreover, the following background, skills and mindset are essential:

  • Experience in marketing, branding and communications in (re)insurance industry  
    • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing and/or Journalism;
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in (B2B) marketing (ideally in (re)insurance) with successful track record in defining and executing marketing plans across traditional (events/conferences, PR/media) and digital (social, website, advertising) channels
  • High proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and Word.  Professional experience with the Adobe Suite would be an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and proven internal and external stakeholder management experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills, task ownership and accountability and project delivery
  • Strong English fluency in writing and editing is essential, and at least one other Asian language an advantage (Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Japanese).
