Pathology Assistant

Pay: $52-60 per hour
Hours: Day shift with your choice of start time! Monday-Friday
Location: Hospital, On-site

Job Duties:

• Selects and identifies tissue for microscopic examination.
• Describes measures and dictates gross findings on select specimen using appropriate terminology.
• Determines proper fixative and decalcification procedures.
• Photographs specimens as appropriate for specific use and documentation.
• Ability to gross simple, moderately complex, and complex cases.

Job Requirements:

• Experience- 5+ Years of Pathology experience
• Licenses- Must have NYS Pathology Assistant license (Pending is acceptable as well)
• ASCP Certification is Required

Experience:

• Pathology: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• NYS Pathology Assistant License (or pending) (Preferred)
• ASCP Certification (Preferred)
