Pathpoint is building the modern distribution infrastructure for the $120B E&S insurance market. Today, more than 20% of commercial insurance business is placed into the E&S market, yet agents, brokers, and carriers rely on analog, inefficient, and imprecise systems, paperwork, and tools in order to transact. What we are looking for


We're looking for a Strategic Partnerships Manager to expand our team, which manages relationships with client partners including agent networks, placement solutions, and carriers with captive distributors. This role will increase the number of partner-affiliated agencies that work with Pathpoint. You will focus on building relationships with regional leaders, executive management, and top agencies of existing and new Pathpoint partners. You’ll develop and optimize existing partnerships to meet Pathpoint’s production and acquisition goals through building business strategies that align with partner goals. This role will collaborate closely with multiple functions, including Sales, Business Development, Product, Engineering, and Finance.


Today, the Partnerships team works with over 30 organizations that account for 60% of Pathpoint’s userbase and revenue generation, and we expect this share to grow. In this role, you’ll assume a portfolio of partners and be directly accountable for their results.


Key Responsibilities
  • Primary relationship manager with your portfolio of existing partners
  • Serve as the project manager across Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Engineering teams for new partner launches
  • Create tailored, partner-specific growth plans to drive acquisition (bringing new users to Pathpoint) and production (growing the business users write with Pathpoint) metrics
  • Conduct regular (monthly, quarterly) meetings with partners to drive partnerships to goals, evaluate progress, and set strategy
  • Write and present monthly business reviews for your partner portfolio to the executive management team of the SP and Pathpoint (requires data analysis and presentation, goal setting, commentary, and presentation development)
  • Standardize, evaluate, and implement new and existing processes within the department to optimize resource allocation and scale your capabilities as the partnerships portfolio expands
  • Work with the broader Strategic Partnerships team to set strategy for the department and allocate staffing resources appropriately
  • Work with accounting and finance teams to execute the quarterly commission process
  • This role should expect to travel ~10% of the time (2-3 days per month) to industry events and client meetings.


Skills & Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in partnerships, large account management, growth, or management consulting
  • Please note experience in insurance or financial services is a nice to have, and will help new hires scale more quickly in the role*.* Preference will be given to candidates with this experience.
  • Strong project management capabilities with experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing team progress to deadlines. Ensuring that tasks, projects, and commitments are completed is absolutely critical to this role.
  • Familiarity with client management and working with external groups at all levels of the organization, from C-suite, to front line, including strong presentation/pitching skills
  • Track record of developing and executing on growth plans that require external buy-in and participation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Nice to have:
  • Comfort with developing marketing collateral
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis (or a willingness to learn)
